Dartmoor Distillery London Dry Gin, 70cl

Dartmoor Distillery Gin is a classic juniper-forward London dry gin that boasts fifteen botanicals. Just like the distillery's whisky, Dartmoor Gin 1890 is crafted in their (unconventional) antique 1,400 litre ex-Cognac still (made in France in 1890... thus the name!), and is cut with purelocal Dartmoor spring water from a 200-foot deep borehole on the moor.

Rosemary, elderflower, and lots of juniper are joined by sandalwood, sharp citrus peel, and orris root.

Nose: A full bouquet of botanicals including delicate rose petals and rosemary notes are sweetened by elderflower and Dartmoor honey. Lower notes of juniper, sandalwood, and pink peppercorns are lingering and earthy.

Body: Sharp citrus peel cuts through the juniper with sweet Dartmoor honey and light elderflower which gives way to the warm undertones of coriander seed, ginger, and orris root.

Palate: Crisp and elegantly balanced between citrus peel, sweet elderflower, and smooth sandalwood. Complex and evocative with a subtle hint of spiciness.

Finish: Botanical, crisp, and long. A lingering finish of pink peppercorns and rose.
