What Is Celtic Grey Sea Salt Coarse?
Traditionally hand-harvested from the Celtic Sea coast of Brittany, this natural sea salt is sun-dried and unprocessed. Composed of 71–74% sodium chloride, its distinctive grey colour comes from the mineral-rich clay of the salt pans.
Obtained through the natural evaporation of seawater across a network of 20 ponds, Celtic grey sea salt retains its full spectrum of minerals and trace elements — including magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, and zinc.
Benefits of Celtic Grey Sea Salt
Celtic grey sea salt delivers 82 essential trace minerals naturally present in seawater, supporting healthy bodily function. Its mineral profile — sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, bromide, chloride, iron, copper, and zinc — mirrors those found in skin cells, making it a valued ingredient in both culinary and therapeutic applications.
Is Celtic Salt Organic?
Salt is a mineral and not classified as organic. However, due to its entirely natural, additive-free production process, it is widely considered a clean, natural food product suitable for organic diets.
